Hundreds of Plein Air art competitions occur nationally every year. In these competitions, artist’s have a set time frame to create work & submit pieces to a juried exhibition where they compete to win prizes & recognition. For many artist, the Plein Air world is their full time job; traveling hundreds of miles to compete across the country and exploring the intense diversity of our land.

July 20th-26th – Competition Week

July 24th – 4-6pm, Art Walk on Peet’s Hill (Find artists painting en plein air along the trail)

July 26th – 9-11am, Quick Draw at Cherry River Fishing Access – Open to local artist participation, sign up there at 9am

July 26th – Noon, Quick Draw Pre-Sale at BAM

July 26th – 6-8pm Opening Reception
