Mountain Provisions Farm Dinner: North Bridger Bison
Kicking Off the 2025 Farm Dinner Series: North Bridger Bison – June 5th
First up in Mountain Provisions' 2025 Farm Dinner Series is North Bridger Bison, and we couldn’t be more excited.
Chef Emily first met Matt Skoglund while visiting his ranch last year and was instantly captivated—by the stunning landscape, Matt’s deep passion for his work, and of course, the majestic bison. Ever since that visit, we've been dreaming up the perfect menu to honor this incredible animal and the land it calls home.
North Bridger Bison is a family-run ranch located in Montana’s Shields Valley, nestled against the backdrop of the North Bridger Mountains. Founded in 2018 by Matt and Sarah Skoglund, the ranch is dedicated to producing healthy, flavorful, and environmentally responsible bison meat through holistic, regenerative, and field-harvested practices.
Rooted in the rhythms of nature, their model is beautifully simple: sunshine grows grass, bison eat the grass, and the land is nourished in return. This closed-loop system results in exceptional meat while also restoring soil health, boosting biodiversity, increasing water retention, and sequestering carbon—making North Bridger Bison a powerful example of ecological stewardship.
Beyond the ranch, the Skoglunds are deeply committed to community and conservation. In 2022, they placed their entire property under a permanent conservation easement with the Gallatin Valley Land Trust, ensuring the land is protected from development for generations to come.
We’re honored to kick off this year’s series with a collaborative experience that promises not only a delicious meal but one that feeds the heart and soul.

Mountain Provisions Farm Dinner: Highland Harmony Farm
Our Second Featured Farm in the 2025 Farm Dinner Series
There’s something truly special about the Highland Harmony family—the kind of energy that makes you feel instantly at home, deeply inspired, and like you’ve known them forever. Meeting Sadie Collins, and soon after the rest of her family, has been one of the highlights of Chef Emily’s time here in Montana.
Highland Harmony Farm is a regenerative farm nestled in Montana’s Shields Valley, devoted to restoring soil health and growing nutrient-dense, sustainably raised food. Rooted in the belief that soil, plant, and human health are deeply connected, the farm practices holistic, science-based stewardship to care for the land’s microbiology.
Their harvest is as diverse as it is intentional—legumes, ancient grains, stone-milled flour, raw honey, berries, vegetables, and flowers—all grown by a local family committed to transparency, sustainability, and community.
With the Crazy Mountains as our backdrop and good people all around, we’re excited to return to the little cabin on the hill at Highland Harmony Farm. The evening will begin with a mini farm tour and unfold into a meal that nourishes both heart and soul.

Mountain Provisions Farm Dinner: Shields Valley Ranchers
The Fourth Dinner in the 2025 Farm Dinner Series: Shields Valley Ranchers
Chef Em met Eric and Juliana during her very first season at the Bozeman Winter Market—an experience that not only introduced her to some of Montana’s most passionate food producers, but also sparked the idea for this very Farm Dinner Series. It was there, among the booths and fresh goods, that she began dreaming of a way to connect more deeply with her ingredients and the incredible people behind them.
Now, we’re thrilled to welcome Shields Valley Ranchers to the series for the first time!
Eric and Juliana are part of a collective of independent, multigenerational ranching families based in the heart of Montana’s Shields Valley. Together, they’re committed to raising high-quality beef with integrity, transparency, and care. Grounded in strong values of land stewardship, animal welfare, and community resilience, these ranchers are redefining what it means to produce food with purpose.
With deep roots and a forward-thinking vision, Shields Valley Ranchers offers a meaningful alternative for those who care about where their food comes from—and how it’s raised.
Join us for an evening of exceptional beef, warm conversation, and the kind of company that makes you feel right at home.

Mountain Provisions Farm Dinner: Chance Farm
Our 5th and Final Farm Dinner of the 2025 Season
Chef Emily spent her second year in Montana working a full season at Chance Farm, learning the ins and outs of growing food in this wild and beautiful state. No stranger to getting her hands dirty, she found it to be one of her most rewarding—and most humbling—experiences yet.
We're incredibly lucky to work with Josh Chance, whose passion, work ethic, and dedication to the soil shine through in every vegetable he grows. After following him around for eight months, dreaming up the idea of a Farm Dinner Series, the vision finally took root. We're thrilled to welcome Chance Farm back for their second year as a featured farm in Mountain Provision’s Farm Dinner Collaborative Series.
Chance Farm is a vibrant vegetable farm rooted in Bozeman, Montana, devoted to cultivating exceptional produce through organic practices and thoughtful land stewardship. Since 2018, farmer and owner Josh Chance has grown more than 30 varieties of vegetables for local farmers markets, restaurants, grocery stores, and a thriving CSA. Inspired by a permaculture course and shaped by hands-on experience across the country, Josh brings care and intention to every row he plants. At Chance Farm, growing food isn’t just a job—it’s a way of connecting with people and honoring the land.
Join us for a night filled with connection, community, and incredible flavor—set against Montana’s stunning landscape and centered around the true star of summer: the heirloom tomato (Chef Em’s favorite!).
